Kimberly K. Ruef

Kimberly K. Ruef, CPA is a manager in the Client Solutions Department at Wegner LLP, CPAs & Consultants and has over 13 years experience in the accounting industry. Wegner LLP, CPAs & Consultants has been serving the Madison community and surrounding areas for over 50 years and also has an office in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Kim provides accounting, tax, and management advisory services for small businesses, partnerships, corporations, and a variety of other industries including tax-exempt organizations, retail, restaurants, and construction. Her areas of expertise include design and implementation of accounting systems, tax planning for individuals and corporations, annual compilation and review engagements, sales and use tax considerations, creating financial projections and budgets, and payroll and personal property tax compliance. Kim is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and is licensed to practice in the state of Wisconsin. She is also a member of Business Network International (BNI). Ms. Ruef received her B.B.A. degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. Kim is actively involved in the marketing and business development for the firm in which she participates in various trade shows, networking events, as well as presentations. She has been invited to speak to various audiences on topics such as tax planning strategies, choosing an entity, financial aspects of business plans for start-up entities, understanding financial statements, and more. Kim enjoys engaging her audience to share their experiences and feedback. Ms. Ruef is also one who believes in giving back to her community. Aside from her career in the accounting profession, Kim is a licensed EMT – Intermediate. For the past 11 years, she has served on her community’s EMS team and is a former CPR instructor.
